Every Château de Chenonceau tour and ticket, and what each one does about admission

All eighteen, grouped by how you get there
The last column is the one to read first. The platform draws what a listing includes and what it excludes as a single block — green checks above, red crosses below — and when that block is read as plain text the two collapse into one run of promises. Every phrase in that column is a line the listing itself strikes through. Prices are per person and were read on 27 August 2026; the widget above any listing prices itself.

The one that says no, and says it well
The e-bike and picnic day crosses out the entrance ticket, and then explains itself in the same line: “Entrance ticket to the chateau. Visiting the inside of the castle is not part of the experience. The visit can be done after the ride”. Read that page as text and those words land in the inclusions list, which is exactly how a site ends up promising a ticket a listing strikes out. What it sells is an e-bike, a guided ride and a lunch of local products facing the château, and it says so. Four and a half hours, capped at four people, and not suitable for under-14s or anyone under 150 cm. It carries 5.0 from 51 ratings, and it has a page of its own at the e-bike review.
The one that says nothing
The bike hire from Montrichard lists helmets, an anti-theft lock, a repair kit and customer support, and crosses out “Tours” and “A meal”. Admission is not addressed anywhere on the page, in either direction, because it is a bicycle rental rather than a tour. So its card here reads “no ticket mentioned” rather than “not included”: the listing is silent, and putting words in its mouth would be the same mistake in the opposite direction. It also states no duration and no languages. Two ratings, both five stars, and nothing on this site is built on two ratings.
The one whose title does not match its page
“From Paris: Loire Valley Castles Tour with Hotel Transfers”, plural. Its page includes “Hotel pickup” and crosses out “Hotel drop-off”. It collects you and it does not bring you back, at the end of a full day in the Loire. That is not small print; it is the difference between the title and the product, and it is invisible to anything reading the page as text. In its favour, it is the only Paris day that includes guided tours inside the castles rather than walking you to the door, which no other Paris listing here does. It carries 4.3 from 61 ratings.
Where the ratings actually are, and what they measure
The sixteen Chenonceau listings carry 6,331 ratings between them. The admission ticket alone has 1,775, and the most-rated product that reaches this château is not the ticket at all — it is the coach day out of Paris, on 2,110. For comparison, Chambord’s ticket has 2,182, which is 1.23 times the Chenonceau ticket, and the Versailles ticket has 46,779, which is 26.4 times the Chenonceau ticket and 7.4 times the entire Chenonceau shelf put together.
Those are bookings on one platform. They are not visitor numbers. Nobody publishes an attendance figure for Chenonceau — the operator does not, and the numbers circulating elsewhere disagree with each other and carry no year. Chenonceau is not a small place; it is a small place on this platform, and those are different sentences. What checking the “most visited” claim actually turned up is here.
Three listings, three different days
The ticket, the coach day from Paris and the minivan day from Amboise are the three shapes most people are choosing between. They are not three versions of the same thing.

Same listings, same order: the ticket, the private guide, the two bicycle days, the six from Paris, the three from Tours or Amboise, the three balloons, and last the Chambord and Versailles tickets, which are here to give the ratings above something to sit against.

If you are reading this table to decide between a coach day and a train, the château has a railway station 400 m from its ticket office and the journey from Paris is an hour by TGV to Saint-Pierre-des-Corps and twenty-five minutes on from Tours. Not one of the eighteen listings above includes a train ticket, and one of them crosses train tickets out.
The pages that go deeper: the day trip from Paris, the balloons and the bicycles, Chenonceau against Chambord, and the listings written up one at a time.

Frequently asked questions
How many Chenonceau tours are there?
Eighteen listings, of which sixteen reach the château. Eleven put the entrance ticket in their price, five never go inside, one crosses the ticket out in its own words and one does not mention admission at all. Every one of them is priced per person.
Which listings include the entrance ticket?
Eleven of the eighteen. The admission column in the table above marks each one, and the column beside it prints the lines each listing crosses out on its own page — which is where the surprises are, because the platform draws inclusions and exclusions as a single block.
Which is the best-rated?
Two listings share 5.0: the e-bike and picnic day on 51 ratings and the bike hire on 2. The private guided tour has 4.9 from 17. Read the base as well as the average — a 5.0 from two people and a 4.7 from 1,775 are not the same claim.
Is there a group rate?
Not on the platform: all eighteen listings are priced per person. The operator’s own tariff does have a group rate, which starts at twenty people and brings an adult down to the reduced figure. It is in the table on the tickets page.
